About the Site
This is a blog, of sorts. A website that contains opinions, analysis and musings. I find myself so interested in two very different topics that I cannot make a choice as to which one I should concentrate on. As a result, the blog is split into two very different parts; sport and film
Sport
I have an interest in a wide range of sports, among which include (in order of preference):
It is my future goal to form a career in sports journalism. I am currently a student. I also physically dabble at some of these sports as well. My style is to look at individual events, before- and after-wards, where I make predictions and analytical ideas about general play and stories that extended beyond the game. My hope is for readers to discover new things they never or hardly realised, hopefully gaining knowledge about some facet of the various sports I am covering. I will try to remain open and unbiased at all times, although I do have a strong affinity for the underdog, barring my supported team is also involved. However, I generally watch sport for the competition element, and in the cases of Formula 1, Cycling and the English Premier League, I tend not to support any team and just watch for the unfolding drama.

Film
My passion for film can be emphasised through the fact that I have only started watching films as a hobby in the last 2 years. In that time I have watched over 100 feature length films, at a rate of over a film a week. Some have been brilliant, some have been awful, but finding the brilliant ones is worth so much to me that it makes watching the terrible ones worth it. I tend to stay away from romantic comedies, tween drama and Adam Sandler movies, unless they come highly recommended. I do reserve special appreciation for silent films, particularly the works of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. I feel their works encompass many others due to the love and care placed in their making. Watch Charlie Chaplin's "The Gold Rush" (1925) and marvel at some of the incredible images and scenes you will see made over 85 years ago, the image of two protagonists jumping out a house the second before it falls off a cliff (I will do my best to always refrain from major spoilers) remains in my mind due to the sheer appreciation of what they had to have done to complete that shot. Even an 18-wheeler flipping over in "The Dark Knight" (2008) does not compare. The films will also have a rating system (Out of 10) applied to them, which is also the part where comments are extremely appreciated. In truth, I want you to agree with my review and share my sentiments, but I will be more interested if you choose to disagree and explain your feelings why.
